oh my gosh. I highly doubt that they will give that cheeky, snotty young man so much as a glance. I doubt he will stay. Irrespective of his ability he is also now a prime example of what our younger players are growing up to see as acceptable. At his young age he has learned to manipulate and dive all over the place already. So sad as his ability if he concentrated on that is much better than his acting skills. I saw the footage of the incident with him and Rooney last night and watched it over a few times. He is quite pretentious and should have stayed out of the whole situation. And no I am not English.

Andygurl and Snowy,
You are both right. Good answers. I have been a Manchester United fan for 48 years. The Munich Team passed by my house in boxes. As a young boy I have swept snow off the pitch at Old Trafford on a saturday morning so a game could be played in the afternoon. I know how fans from Manchester will react. They have had their doubts about his sportsmanship and they have been proved right. Not just by Ronaldo's reactions but the whole of the Portugese teams theatricals during the game. That was not the wonderful Portugese side that was led by the Great Eusabio in the 60's. It was more like the Argentinian team led by Rattan in 66. If you doubt what I say ask a Dutchman.
The boy is on his way out of the door and good riddance.

No. He is a cheating little scumbag who has brought the game into dis-repute.
We thought that he was growing out of the diving game last season at United and we all hoped to see him emerge as one of the great players, however this world cup has shown that alongside his talent he is also a cheat.
It is also clear that after signing a new contract with United he has been talking to the potential new president of Real Madrid.
I love the game of football more than I love showboating talent, and so as far as I'm concerned the sooner Ronaldo disapears somewhere where cheating is ok the better.
This is not just an English perspective by the way. did you hear the French fans booing him last night?
Goodbye and good riddance.

He wanted a way out & he found it. Goodbye & get lost from English football. I doubt he'll get a cold welcome, he'll get an inflamming burning scorching hot welcome possibly leading to a riot & several convictions 4 GBH!!! By the way, did u see the dive 4 the penalty by a portugesse player in the first half. He was falling even before the French players jumped. Now I'd like Germany 2 give them a real footballing lesson. Jurgen Klismann do your job!!! 5-0 to the Deutch(Germans) with 3 off(Red cards) 4 the Portugese!!! -))) Lol. Probably another close game.

NEVER - NO WAY - No player cheats his so called best friend and team mate to the extent that he gets the guy sent off the pitch. Ronaldo should be flogged for half time entertainment at Uniteds next match before being put on the next plane home.
May he rot in hell.

No. Everything will fine. The fans will be waiting to greet him at the airport. With pitchforks. And stakes. He probably won't even make it off the plane...

It'll be MU's loss if they continue to blame and berate him. With the torrent of the abuse that's been shoveled his way, I'm sure he'll be pleased enough to leave. And plenty of teams will be pleased enough to have him.
