After testing 6 missiles yesterday, all six landed in the sea of Japan. Plus, we have intercept missiles in Japan, U.S., and Europe. President George Bush is cooperating with the UN regarding the issue and is working with neighboring countries with a diplomatic plan. If this doesn't work, it might come down to 'aggressive negotiation'. Ironically, the 6 missiles launched yesterday were exactly 6 minutes after the space shuttle Discovery launch. But, in my opinion, there is no need to worry. Most of the countries are against N. Korean acts. Plus, I believe that North Korea is trying to 'catch up' with the U.S. in the technological standpoint. They are testing short/long range missiles which the US already has. They pose no danger, for now.
In response to your question, I believe that the missiles won't hit Alaska, Hawaii, nor the west side of the U.S. because
1. The missiles tested landed in the sea of Japan
2. They are not as technologically advanced as we are and
3. We have intercept missiles based here.
The chances of attack here is minimal and if we maintain to talk with other countries regarding this issue, the chances for war are marginal.

Ok...here's the deal. So North Korea has between 5-10 nukes, and they may have a missle that can deliver a warhead to the US. So what? We have thousands that could light up North Korea in a half-heartbeat. North Korea is trying to show how tough they are, and are trying to use nukes as a bargaining chip for negotiations. As a country, North Korea is hurting, and badly. They need the world's help, but don't want to play by our terms...and they have this worldview, that if they have the capability to hit us with nukes, that we have to take them seriously...but in reality, the last the North Korea wants is to get in too deep with Uncle Sam.

Yes the stakes are high.
Forget missile range. The real target for North Korean missiles is the BANKS that supply credit to America -- ie-- Toyko.

It's probably just crap propagated by the CIA and passed to us via CNN and FOX news. Therefore, I dont believe it. There are two sides to every story.
