we as a society are so hung up on slim,trim, handsome,beautiful people who often turn out to be so enamered with themselves they seem cut off from reality. They rely on looks to get by while those of ordinary looks even actually being unattractive, will often have developed the greatest personalities, sense of humor,interesting beyond average.Please give serious answers. marlyne B

Of course the less attrative but good personality guy!!! My boyfriend is not the hottest guy out there (even though i'm attracted to him), but he does have a good personality. I hate guys who are egotistical jerks I dont care how hot you are, you're a major turn off when you act like that. But I really hate these questions. You know the kind, "Would you rather be popular with no personality or unpopular with a great personality" or "Would you rather be happy yet homeless or unhappy yet rich". They're so stupid! And yea, society is hung up on looks. but, I am too. I'm all about my weight (even though I'm17 and 5'2", 90 pounds...which is pretty little yet I think I'm chubby when I'm not...I just look in the mirror and see myself as gross). But I've learned to not care so much. I still care about my looks and weight, I just don't stress out about it so much. What's funny is though, I was so used to (even though I'm skinny) sucking in my stomache to make myself look perfect, that now it's so normal for me to do it. I'll go outside and automatically without thinking about it, I suck in. It's pretty sad if you think about it. My point is I'd rather be with a guy who isn't the hottest, yet has a great personality.

I would take the not so good looking guy with a great personality as he would treat me much better. In the long run it's the personality that counts and not the looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
I'm sure you've seen a guy who you think is just gorgeous, then you get to know him and his vanity or arrogance soon replaces any value that his good looks might hold.

You are described my last relationship and my current relationship! My last relationship I was involved with this very handsome red-head. He had a GREAT body and knew it. I broke up with him the day he told me :I want to be with someone that I can walk into a public place and all the guys want her, and you will never be that person who looks good on my arm.
Now my current relationshio with whom I have a child has a gut. He is still very good looking in my eyes of course and that is all that matters. He tells me everyday how beautiful I am and he always opens the door for me and treats my like a queen. SO of course I want to be with someone who might not have "brad pitt" looks but he still treats me how a woman should.

Of course the not so good looking guy with the great personality. You have to live with the person for the rest of your life so i would opt for the personality. Also, if they are really good looking youll have to worry your whole marriage about your husband being hit on. Same for the other sex.

The first thing I look for is the visual. He must be hot. Then in order to continue, I examine his personality and character, his sense of humor and his heart.
As far as dating someone who is not that good looking will not cut it for me. I need to be turned on visually and sex is so important.
It is the other stuff that will keep me around to actually marry him.

I would rather date/marry a not so good looking guy with a great personality. If I ever were to remarry. I love my husband right now, and he's good looking and has a great personality!

The one who treats me the best...looks, money...none of that matters if the guy is a jerk and treats you like sh*t. Looks will fade, Marry a guy you can talk to for years to come.
