Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.... For additional info, this song and version of somewhere over the rainbow was also played at Meet Joe Black for the end credits and at Finding Forrester towards the ending part when Sean Connery already died.

It is a Hawai'ian singer named Israel Kamakawiwo'le. Its not on the soundtrack, FYI.
His album is worth picking up. He passed away a few years ago.
