Some theorists have argued that the matter of the universe only exists in the present moment. Thus, if one were to travel back from the 'present' to an earlier time, none of the material universe would be found there, because it will have remained in the present: the traveller alone is the only part of the universe to have gone back to the earlier time. In terms of a 4-dimensional spacetime, the traveller (or, more generally the atomic particles that comprise the traveller) would have travelled 'back' to an area of spacetime corresponding to an earlier value of 't'; but none of the other particles that form the universe will have done so, so the traveller finds precisely nothing when arriving back at the earlier time. This viewpoint eliminates all of the supposed paradoxes about time travel.

If one were able to move information or matter from one point to another faster than light, then according to special relativity, there would be an observer who sees this transfer as allowing information or matter to travel into the past. Additionally, faster than light travel along suitable paths would correspond to travel backward in time as seen by all observers. This results simply from the geometry of spacetime and the role of the speed of light in that geometry.

Time Travel iz relevant because.................! If u could travel in a spaceship, in space, @ nearly the speed of light, time would slow down for u, but not all the people back on Earth! Which mean'z, after u slowed down, once u went back 2 Earth 100 year'z could have passed but u would still b the same age! So basically, Time Travel relevant because the speed u are goin and how long u travel @ that speed determine'z how many year'z pass on Earth!

Hope it'z not 2 complicated! ;-)

put it simply this way. your viewing perception totally depends on light. you know it's 6 o'clock because a light struck the clock and reflects it back to your eye. therefore you perceive that it's 6 o'clock. but imagine this. this process happens continously as fast as light itself, therefore you perceive movement in time. billions of particle/waves of light struck the clock and hit your eyes, therefore you will receive updated information (after a certain amount of time it become 6 past 1 second, and 2 second and so on). but what if that clock moves equals with the speed of light, so the light can't catch the clock, and there's no reflection of the clock that can be perceived by your eyes....... time will Freeze. the last informaton you perceive is when it's 6 o'clock sharp. and will stay like that until the light can catch up with the clock and reflected the information that time has changed.

so basically time is relative. it depends on the speed of light. and that is exactly what the theory of relativity is tryng to explain.

So the real question should be. Why can't any matter or wave moves in light speed, beside light itself?. what is light?

How can the impossible be relevant? If, by some crazy chance, we DO someday have the ability to travel in time, it would be EXTREMELY RELEVANT! Just THINK of the consequences of such a marvelous thing! Right now, irrelevant.

to respond to all 4 of your questions: no, NASA isn't shortsighted, that's extremely suitable, and it is not loosing its side. The shuttles are already previous their projected lifespan. NASA grow to be comparing destiny manned autos whilst W ordered them to proceed with the Constellation undertaking. Then he began slashing the funds. the human beings at NASA did the main suitable they could, yet Constellation grow to be today falling way in the back of time table. you in all probability observed a super turnover in NASA management approximately then. President Obama then ordered a panel to evaluate the Constellation software and all different NASA projects. the top result grow to be that Constellation grow to be killed off, the numerous different area and and atmospheric projects have been renewed, and a clean directive to *heavily* plan the subsequent manned software grow to be undertaken. The President additionally gave NASA a sort of 10% investment advance, reversing a number of years of cuts on the palms of W. It particularly feels like the sole part of NASA which you're attentive to have been the manned missions. NASA does analyze into something that flies, or is above the floor, interior the finished universe. have you ever forgotten with reference to the Hubble telescope? did you comprehend that there is a much better one decrease than shape suitable now? did you comprehend that each and each physique modern plane are designed employing documents from NASA analyze? The hyperlink decrease than is a reliable commencing element on your loss of NASA wisdom, and could clarify each and all of the extremely some fields of learn, and the justifications for the present judgements.

I love the idea of time travel. Anythings possible.

But I believe it to be irrelevant going to the passed. the only thing that matters is the present and the future, because we travel in that direction everyday.

If we changed the passed how would we know we changed it? Its like going back in time then forgetting why you went, then getting back to the present and forgetting why you didn't change it.

If it's not possible, it's irrelevant, but fun to think about.
If it is possible, of course it's relevant if we can go backwards and change things. If we can only go forwards, I'm not sure what that means... probably not as much. It'd be like sleeping for years and then waking up.

Time and Space are conceptual. Even this world is imaginary.

Please read the following book.

Read that ancient scripture. It talks everything about blackholes, time travel, particle-wave theory, aliens, consciousness, mind, matter, energy, creation, Relativity, cosmic dissolution, unified theory, psychology, bondage, liberation, salvation, god etc.

Everyone should read it atleast once in their lifetime.

It will liberate you for sure!

I guarantee it will change your life. Those who don't read it or cannot access it and follow it are really unlucky. Salutations to them. Those who can read it and follow it are great. Salutations to them.

time travel is relevant...say if i get struck by lightning, i would see it instantly, 0:00...if you were three miles away and saw that exact lightning...you would be seeing the lightning about 3-6 seconds after i got struck...and if you were able to travel faster that the speed of light 3 more miles behind you...you would be able to see that exact lightning strike 6-9 seconds after i got struck.

*note...my timing could be off
