Most of the casinos in the early days of Las Vegas have stories about the mafia. A few of my favorites include the Stardust, Fremont, and Hacienda.

There is a book called "When the Mob Ran Vegas" which you can get at your local bookstore. It has about 20 stories like you are looking for. Here is an interesting quote from the book, "On opening night at the Cal-Neva Lodge, Sinatra's guests included Marilyn Monroe, Joe Kennedy and his son, John F. Kennedy. Also there that weekend were Johnny Roselli and Sam 'Momo' Giancana. Uninvited and hiding up in the hills around the casino lodge was an FBI surveillance team with long-range lenses."

You can view some of the photos of Las Vegas during this time period at the attached link.

Flamingo is a splendidly nice motel. that's older, yet has been those days renovated, so that's as a lot as date and looks useful. The pool section is tremendous, and the area can't be beat. As for sneaking people in, i doesn't attempt it. They do id, yet in simple terms the fellow checking in. even if they are going to purely provide you 2 keys. Flamingo isn't one which commonly does this, yet many inns submit protection by using centred visitor elevators now, and purely provide get admission to to those with keys. absolutely everyone also desires a key to get into the pool section. there's a strong hazard that you will be stuck. housework knows what percentage are registered to each and each and every room, and could document even as there appears to be like extra staying there. that's prohibited - defrauding an innkeeper is the cost - and also you'll a minimal of be kicked out if stuck. they could also value you for the extra visitors earlier kicking you out. that's healthier to easily pay for the extra people, or choose a diverse motel the position you could arise with the money for the extra people (if the cost is the area).

The CalNeva? I'm not sure if it's in Las Vegas, exactly, but I know lots of mobsters used to hide there. I think it had some gun running going on there, too.
