Malaysia is truly Asia! Is your best choice. Here are my suggestions:-

1. Go climb the Mount Kinabalu, Sabah - the highest mountain in Malaysia and South East Asia.
2. Set for adventure in Mulu Caves, Sarawak - one of the deepest caves in the world.
3. Relax at Pulau Sipadan, Sabah - voted by National Geographic as one of the best secret hidden island of treasure in the world.
4. Indulge yourself in shopping haven in Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur and snap memorable pictures of Petronas Twin Towers while you are there.
5. Explore the reserve forest of Taman Negara, Pahang for the flora and fauna, and unique animal in Malaysia such as the Tapir.
6. See for yourself the historical state of Malacca/ melaka which was once ruled by the Portugis, Dutch, and the British empire.
7. Enjoy delicious variety of different ethnic and race's food and delicacies in Penang, e.g. Nasi Kandar, Cendol, etc.
8. Have a quiet time fishing and having fun in the Tasik Kenyir Lake in Terengganu and while you are there go to the beach to see live sea leaderback turtles lay their eggs!

Come down to Sabah, north of Borneo. Once you step out from Kota Kinabalu International Airport, get a taxi and you will reach Karambunai Nexus Resort after 45 min splendid views along the way to get there. It's might the best part of the world that you ever imagine. Don't have to tell more because words are insufficient for it. Some say it's heaven.

k_richy, do you know where is Malaysia?
Poorest country? hahaha... u like others ( people that never come to Malaysia ). If you come to Malaysia, you will see this 'poorest country' got the biggest airport ( and it is the one of the best airport in this world ), 2nd higest tower in this world & the 1st highest twins towers, the biggest casino in SE Asia, the beautiful island in this world ( Pangkor ), the only one country that got F1 circuit in SE Asia... and so on... too much...

Malaysia is not Indonesia! Although both got 'sia'. But Malaysia totally different than Indonesia... dun worry about security... totally safe! No terrorist! Hahaha...

How the poorest country can built all that? We didnot use UR money! Malaysia is more than u know!!!!!

Back to questioner, go to island... more privacy and u will not regret!

That is my promise!

have a nice honeymoon!

Bye
selamat datang!

Malaysia has loads of good honeymoon spots. But it's wise to plan when you're going.

It really depends on your preference of location, actvities and price budget. Malaysia offers a good spread of everything which fits all your requirements.

Ask around, especially the locals. They can tell you the best spots offering the best prices.

In Penang? Poorest countries... k richy is so ignorant. Ya... ya Malaysia is one of the poorest countries with the tallest twin towers in the world, one of the largest and most modern airports, and we host F1...

Dont blame you for thinking that way considering the fact that people who have not visited Malaysia relies on CNN's pics and video which is usually potraying indonesia as Malaysia... How shallow!

You can type in Pangkor Laut Resort in a search engine like yahoo or google and find out more about this wonderful enchanting sanctuary and packages available. In my opinon this is a great place for you if you so consider going there.

Best of Luck!

Sorry noone has answered your question yet. I'll try to. I discovered the National Park in Kota Kinabalu recently. It sits at the foot of the Mount Kinabalu and the environment in my opinion is ideal for a honeymooning couple. Check it out.
