In the reaction:
3Cl2 + 6NaOH --> 5NaCl + NaClO3 + 3H2O
how many grams of sodium chloride can be produced from 10.9 g of NaOH?
I have already solved this problem I just want to check my solution against others. So please don't tell me I am a cheater or lazy because you don't get credit for a problem like this without showing work, I just want to compare answers no need to show me your work. THANKS

I don't have a periodic table or calculator handy, but my rough calcualtion is 13.3 g NaCl.

I come up with about 15 grams. That's just a guesstimate.

(5Coefficient of NaCl times 0.272515874mol )/6 coefficient of NaOH=
0.2270965617mol
0.2270965617mol times (22.99 + 35.453)= 13.27215212

physandchem is correct....13.3g.....10.9/40=.273, .273X58.5=15.94. 15.94X (5/6)= 13.3g
