I have a basketball game coming up tomorrow and need help on how to say calm and not be so nervous for it. It is a huge game because we are both heavily favored teams to do great this season. So if you could give me some tips on how to stay calm and not be so nervous, that would be great.

Try to keep busy and have confidence. Don't over conceit yourself but hype yourself up right before the game. By now our team should have a ritual that helps the entire team, i.e. prayer, watching old tapes of opponents, mascot performance,etc. But one thing i think would really help is if you get some rest. Play some music, or call your girlfriend, or someone thats up late and likes to talk on the phone. So u can talk till the both of u get tired and get some rest. If u just lay down and try to go to sleep with no help ur gonna drive your self crazy just thinking about it so you need something to get your mind off whats the outcome of tommorow.

Before game time, find some alone time, put on some music that will relax you but also keep you focused. Just focus on wht you need to get done during the game, and you'll be fine.

I always encouraged my kids to focus on the other players on the team--cheer for them, pay attention to the things they're doing well and don't think about yourself--when you concentrate on others, you stop thinking about yourself and your performance!

Good luck--and a year from now, you won't even remember the score of the game--so don't sweat the small stuff!

Put ur favorite joke on an mp3 player, then listen to it before the game.

listen to some music.. but dont sleep.. but on the way listen to it dont talk close ur eyes and just think more bout wat ur going 2 do 4 the basketball game..

if u sleep then u will still be tried when it is time to play.. only sleep after the games..

get some rest...cuz i got 4hrs once..and i didnt score in 1st half...then scored 6...anyway..just get rest..and..just focus on doin ur best...GOOD LUCK
