Really, really stupid (not retarded, just profoundly unintelligent) or Gay? Does is matter if that child is a boy or a girl?
Please answer if you have a kid or do not....simply say "if I did" if you don't have a child (yet).

I would much rather that my daughter have more opportunities in her life as a gay person than a person with a simple mind. I would not want her to struggle in life. Of course, there are people with intelligent minds that do not do anything with their lives, and there are people who are not very bright that are very successful because of their personality. So, this was a very good question.
I will hope she is a bright intelligent and well-rounded gay person.

I am a parent of four adult children.
I love every one of my children so very much for who they are.
I have a child who is borderline retarded.
I love him every bit as much as my other children, and I am very proud of him.
I don't have a gay child, but if I did, that would not in the least alter how I felt about them, or influence whether i was proud of them or not.
This question, to me, is like, these are two terrible things that could happen to you, which would hurt you the most? Life is life, and such conjecturing gets a person no where. It is why there is so little tolerance in the world.

I would rather them be who they are. Be it unintelligent or gay. I would not care as long as they are who they are and not so ashamed of it that they would hide their true selves from me.
