Thanks.

I'm from Sabah. I used to work with a guesthouse which provided information about places to go, and things to do in Sabah and all of my guests are backpackers..They really enjoyed sabah. Anyway, you can go hiking, climbing the highest mountain in south east asia (mt. Kinabalu), diving, snorkelling, just walking around the city or any other city and small town (nice to watch the locals doing their things), go to some camping trip, you have to see the orang utans, proboscis monkeys and there are lots more other wildlife to see..there are some 'survivor' package where you will be brought to a jungle for few days and you the tour guides will show you how to survive in the jungle, you can go to the homestay program- stay with the locals and experienced their way of life..hmmmmmm..check this website www.sabahtravelguide.com for more info..

yes, my parents are from Kota Kinabalu. and i was there just last week. K.K. is very different from Canada but it is a nice change. When i was there i went to Kudat the tip of Borneo and Kota Belud a small town where my grandparents are from. I also went to the islands and went snorkelling and parasailing which were both very exciting. I went to visit my relatives and to escape from the city. I would reccomend everyone to go there.
