After almost 10 years of marriage my husband cried foul after marrying under the knowledge that we had a swinging lifestyle. We both swung, he with my girlfriends and me with other girls. But as soon as I wanted to swing with a guy he cried foul, took all our joint funds behind my back, refused to talk, and left.

A double standard?

Total double standard. I dealt with this with my own hubby, though not quite to this extreme. I had wanted to have a guy, but his dislike on the topic kept me from even feeling comfortable thinking about it. He eventually overcame it and began the search for a couple on his own. But, to just up and leave with the IDEA of a guy? Completely heinous. Completely unfair. Frankly, if he feels that strongly over a thought, over an idea, then it's time to do some serious thinking. Good luck!

That is very much a double standard just like most things that involve sex. My boyfriend and I are swingers as well that's actually how we met. People have called me and definately thought of me as a hoe just because I have sex with more than one man every once in a while. If i were a man it would be considered cool and just fine to sleep with more than one women. But life isn't fair.

sounds like penis envy to me!
if you want to continue that lifestyle,
the spouse MUST ALWAYS feel like top priority and the BEST around, regardless of the actual truth.
Guys have huge ego problems with this.
They hate bein out gunned at sex with their wife, in person.
Most can handle previous people that were better, but feel like a total failure if they cant stand the heat.

well i dont wanna sound like a jerk but these are the things that the "normal" relationships stray from or try to anyway. whenever you have that open of a relationship someone is bound to get hurt. cut your losses, sorry. but..um what are you doing tomorrow?

Yes very much so… after that long my guess he has hidden issues that he would not talk to you about.

Unfair! If he refuses to talk, duke it out in court.
