Depends on what type of material the book is. Try this: First, COPYRIGHT the material as your OWN work. Once it's protected, THEN it's safe to send it.

Look into the books of the same type of story. Inside the first couple of pages, you'll find the address of the publisher: the place you can submit your COPYRIGHTED manuscript.

As a writer myself, I must advise you to be prepared for getting some rejection and/or productive criticism. But if you believe in your work, you'll keep on trying ALL such publishers specializing in your genre of literature. Good luck to ya.

Well first, I would make sure to spell check everything. Also, have many other people edit for you. If they are bored reading it, chances are other people will be too.

Then, once you have done extensive editing, I would send it to some kind of a publishing company. If I were writing a book, that is what I would to try and get it published.

Contact an agent FIRST, and see what his/her requirements are for representing first-time teen authors. Once you find the right one for you, do what they tell you and let them handle the manuscript. 99.999% of the publishers out there do NOT handle unsolicited material.
As with everything CONSULT A LAWYER and make sure your parents are involved with the entire process. They ahve life experience that could help to keep you from getting hosed.

I wish you the best of luck in your publishing career.
