Sadly to say but yes they can throw you out any time they want. But if you get into trouble they are responsible until your 18 so if they screw you, you can screw them.

Sounds like every house with teenagers in America. I had my own car and all my grandpa had to do was hold out his hand and I knew it meant to give him the keys because I was late or whatever. Parents get crazy sometimes. We want our children to be happy and safe, mostly safe. We know the obstacles of the world and how easy it is to get in over your head, even though teens think we are stupid. I don't know about where you live, but parents can't kick a minor child out of the house. You have a right to live there until you are 18. They COULD send you to a boys home, but that has to go through the system, not just them taking you to the door and saying 'here, take him'. My best advice to you is to have a family meeting. That's what my family does. Have a heart to heart. Find out what bugs them and tell them what bugs you. Know what you'll learn? That your parents love you more than anything in the world. Guaranteed.

At age 16 you can go to court to get emancipated. Meaning you will be allowed to be considered your own adult and not a minor to your parents.
And yes they can kick you out. However... because you are a minor there would be ramifications to them for neglect of a minor.
Which would only aide you in getting an emancipation should you want one!

Remember that you only have one set of parents.....your mother is probably just worried about you getting into trouble or something! I am quite sure that your mother did not take your truck for no reason--it was something that you did that she did not like!
Parents biggest responsiblilty in life is to raise their children to be the best people that they can be---every parent is not perfect we make mistakes with our children..but when the mistake is made it is not because we are trying to hurt you, but because we love you so much and do not want you to be hurt!

You can become emancipated if they kick you out. I am not sure about low-income apartments in your area. Check with your local housing authority. If they really want you out that is not very good of them to do, but maybe they have lost all hope with you. I think my parents probably lost all hope with me at one point because I was so rebelious but it just took some time to grow out of that phase.

baby girl you are 16, and they can not kick you out because you are still a minor so the only thing that they can do or say or threaten you. and thats it trust me "I KNOW" what you are going through now with your truth if its in your name then they can't take it away even though you paid for it the title or the car is in there name no matter what unless they forward it to you name

in most states you can choose where you wont to live at the age of 13 . go to the circuit clerks office at the court house and pic up a paper for custody of a child .. it tells you on those ..they are free. then fill them out and move out...
