Normally it will go away. My husband had a gun go off right next to his ear, and it was painful and was ringing for almost 2 weeks. But it did heal. As you are younger, and the noise wasn't as loud, yours will probably be better in a few days. If not, then it's time to see a Dr.

Yes, your ears will stop ringing--if this is a rare occurrence. Sometimes it takes a week! Sure sign of too much exposure, too loud and too long. Going forward, buy earplugs at the drug store. If you look closely, musicians use them while performing. There are throwaway earplugs, wax plugs and permanent pliable earplugs which usually come with a carry case so you have them at hand when needed.

Yes you will be fine. Time heals all wounds. He damaged your eardrum, but it's only temporary, the explosion from bubble wrap can't be that powerful.
People have recovered from gunshots next to their ears with regained hearing.
However IF your eardrum was in fact permanently damaged by this bubblewrap, I would sue them for negligence. They shouldn't have let it have such a powerful kick.

When you have a health issue, don't ask people on this website. You will hear everything and none of it will be the truth--don't rely on strangers to solve a health issue. Your ears are very important, you only have one pair and they are supposed to last a lifetime. You should tell your parents you need to see a doctor to see if you need treatment. That's the only way you will know for sure.
