I own two ball aka royal pythons, Pythagoras and Dammit, and I couldn't ask for better pets. They each have their own distinct personality and behaviors despite being the same species and are never boring. They are also quite docile and rarely show aggression towards anyone.
Some species of snake make better pets than others but all snakes deserve our love and respect.
As for the actual question, snakes are low maintenance, low noise level pets that don't need a lot of room*, if you can handle the feeding of frozen mice and rats you will have a companion for quite a while as many snakes live over twenty years.
(*note* reticulated and Burmese pythons, anacondas and the like are extremely large and should only be purchased and kept as pets by those trained to handle large snakes and in my opinion should only be in zoos)

Dude she's just asking a question so get a life. Anyway snakes are beautiful animals who are nice to hold, watch & share your company with. They are cute I think. But if you get a pet snake start very small & work your way up. I love snakes. I don't own one but my brother used to own a big boa python & he was the sweetest snake & loved to curl up on my lap for hours. Anyway have a nice day.

Snakes are our entire business. We breed them, sell them, and pretty soon will import/export them.
We also have some that are pets, too. They are great. Never need to be walked, exercised, played with, make noise, or get in the way.

Snakes can be very interesting pets. They are very soft, and you cold easily term them affectionate by the way they wrap around your hand/arm/neck (as long as it's not too tight). Also, I think they're cute.

i don't i hate snakes... water snakes garden snakes any kind of snakes they all are nasty to me.. i don't care if they are 1 cm long or 300 feet i hate them...lol OK i think a dead snake is a good snake.. but i am so scared of them.

4th,actually snakes are the kindest animal/reptiles but due to man's cruelty, they learned to retaliate and protect theirselves against those harmful people.

They're pretty cool. They'll just kind've hang out on you, and they're pretty low maintenance too.
