many young people don't wish to reach old age.sometimes older
people feel shunned by the youngest group and many of them are
sent to an old people's home because their relatives can't look after them anymore.personally I 'm not afraid to reach old age.it is actually a privilege to live longer on this planet and old age is like a second childhood.I still remember that day when I visited an institution for the elderly.they were all smiling at me and seemed like children to me.sometimes I prefer an old person to a younger one as my closest friend.they've lived longer, therefore you really learn a lot from them.

you're quite mature in your thinking and thats good. old and age is something noone can control or avoid and if would, would be going against nature. why fret in something we cant control...go along with it gracefully. we cant hide or avoid.
seems inmature to be fearing of grwoing old and being shun! where's the self respect and earning it from others? has it occurred that growing old maybe physically disadvantaged. but hey...what about the wisdom gained. live life more meaningful and being contented and satisfied and happy is something to look forward and master than in fear. happy living !

60+ seems a little scary to me.
I just wonder if I'll still be able to
do all the things I'll want to do.
Right now I'm only 23 though...

I'm not, because I can say to those younger than me "I have been there, and I know how it feels."
