First of all, is it my drink? It could be my fav beverage, but belong to someone else, ya know.

I always see my glass, and my friends glass's as full. My cut runneth over, it always seems. If the glass was that of a strangers, and for strange reason i noticed it, I would think it was half empty. I see strangers as empty shells, not real.

It's half full. Because there still liquid in it. I look at the positive view. Half empty sound like there is nothing left in the glass

Basically the beverages are just atoms and atoms are just energy and "full" and "empty" and not physical nor chemical changes, and The Law of Conservation of Energy states, "That energy cannot be created or destroyed, but can change its form."

Therefore the glass is neither full nor empty but energy.... so your question answered itself ... because the energy that is "left" is "full".... to it's greatest potential!!! See simple.... however simple people might not be able to grasp that! Sorry if you don't get it!

It is neither half empty nor half full, it is half a glass.

Another way to look at this conundrum is that full or empty is dependent on the preceding dynamic. If I was in the act of filling it and stopped half way, it is half full. If it was full and I am pouring/drinking it and stop half way, then it is half empty.

One of these is always true.

The glass started empty, it's still half full. So much for Zen in this category. Did you realize that this question is supposed to arrest the critical mind?

What if your knees bent the other way? How would chairs look?

That's Zen...

half full because its better to be an optimistic person and think positive thoughts. Plus half empty sounds strange to me.

Well.... If you are filling the cup up with the beverage it is half full, if you are drinking from it, it is half empty.

It's half empty, unless I only poured half a glass worth.
