by coworkers or higher-ups? coworkers could be jealous or see you as a suck up, management may see you as a push over who will grin and bare just about anything.

Please know that NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE YOU OR EVEN GET ALONG WITH YOU,and that's okay. You may have a co-worker that doesn't like you or resents the fact that you do such a great job and that you don't call in sick. Continue to do your job to the best of your ability. You go to work to do just that work and not really make friends. That's why its called a job you are there for one thing and one thing only and that is the PAYCHECK.

Continue to do a great job and ignore the looks, stares and gossip because the people that are looking at you so hard may not realize that the supervisor is watching them and they will soon be out of a job and you will be promoted.

Respect is not only earned sometimes you have to take it by force. They may not like you but they do have to respect you and respect the fact that you do your job well.

Have confidence in GOD, in yourself and you will shine brighter then the sun. GOD bless

Welcome to the real world. I have worked for the same law firm for 12 years. I work for the owner and CEO. I also feel hated. I think it is because of the position I hold at work. The managers and attorneys have to answer to me, as well as the executives; however, I'm only an "Executive Assistant." When I say my co-workers have to answer to me it is only because my boss, the owner, sends me to be his liason. So when he says, I need "this," I go to the manager, attorney or exec to get what he requested. I know it bothers my co-workers to have to "jump" when I need information concerning accounting, managment, a particular case, budgets, marketing, etc. Do you think anyone asks me to lunch... no. When I go to happy hour, I usually leave earlier than most because I'm married/committed to my husband and kids, so socially, I'm a retard to them. It doesn't really bother me because I love to work for THE MAN, but it does suck when your co-workers don't like you as a whole person. Oh, well. That's life in the office lane.

Keep up the good work. Look for another job if you feel the pressure is affecting your mental health. You say you don't call in sick so physically you may be fine. Mental health is important too so stick it out, or go somewhere else. When interviewing for a position tell the interviewer you are looking for a place that is friendly instead of uptight.

Good luck!

I have to agree, you probably work with a bunch of jerks who don't want to do a great job and who often call in sick. Don't let them get to you! Good luck!

Because you're such a good, and possibly new worker at your place of work, or you're the boss' favorite (even if you don't realize it.) and nobody knows how you stay so healthy that you never call in sick. Perhaps you never socialize, even at coffee break time, which is when it's ok to. Those are my guesses.

Don't mind them; they are probably jealous of the fact that you do a great great job and don't call in sick.

A friend of mine told me this a long time ago. He said "Go to work when you're sick. Stay home when you feel good". Sounds like you need a classychris day.

The way the world works.Working hard, doing right, getting things done won't be a guarantee of success. In the real world it's who you know, scoring points with the boss, lying about someone will get you success.(that's reality).

Because you are a goody two shoes. Nobody likes a suckup. You either too nice or too mean. Not everybody is going to like you. That's life. It would help though if someone would stop spreading those nasty rumors about you at the office.........

Oh boy - need more details for this one. It may be that your personality doesn't click with the group, which could be a good thing in the long run if they're all idiots! Maybe you don't understand office politics. Maybe they're jealous.
