If you are highly conscious of fashion etiquette, then definitely not! Unless it is a cool summer day or night, and you are only talking about a jacket...then I think that is just perfectly fine. And, depending upon the jacket, it could be really cute. Preferably a thin corduroy in a light color.
However, if you are just asking because you don't care about fashion rules, and you would feel comfortable wearing corduroy in the summer, then by all means, go ahead!

Too hot unless you live in a cold place or are constantly being over air conditioned. Personally I like corduroy but some people would think that is reason enough not to wear it.

It depends on what type of corduroy the fabric is made of- I would say a no to pants but i've seen a lot of minis in stores now that are made of really light corduroy fabrics... make sure the lines aren't too thick also- that makes corduroy look more "wintery".

not a good choice for the summer sweetie. hold corduroy off for fall and winter. you don't ever want to suffer in heat wearing that type of fabric.

It is usually a fall/winter fabric. HOWEVER, if you are wearing corduroy in the summer then you need to wear narrow wale (thin width cord) in a light color, white, beige, pink etc. Then it IS OK to wear corduroy in the summer

You can wear lighter weight corduroy in the summer. LL Bean does offer pants and shorts in a lighter version. (See link below.)

I've never seen a single person who looks good in corduroy, so my vote would be never. However, maybe you look great in corduroy and I've never seen you so I wouldn't know. Anyway, don't follow those silly fashion rules, they're lame.

Too hot why would you want to? Mine are packed away in storage boxes until the appropriate season Fall. I don't usually wear long pants at all mostly capris or shorts. Maybe jeans in the evening.

hey, why not? they might be a little warm, but are there any rules that say NO, U CANNOT WEAR CORDUROY IN SUMMER ? no! so if you like it, go ahead and enjoy it!
