If you're family is religious, then they don't approve of you being gay because the Bible says that men and women are supposed to get married, be lovers, and have a family. Not men and men. Not women and women. If you're family is not religious then they probably haven't met a lot of gay people before and they haven't gotten used to the fact that gays are everywhere.

Because being gay is not always a sociably acceptable thing especially if your from a small town or a religious family. If your not out then take your time but never feel wrong for your feelings and never be ashamed of who you are eventually you will be as comvertable with your sexuaility

Being gay in this society is frowned upon....why? Because as they said before "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve". I think it is your own personal business! People need to butt out sometimes! I am sorry your family is not accepting of you and hopefully after time they will accept it. They obviously have an image to uphold....I would support my children regardless of what they choose later in life. It is NOT wrong to be gay so don't feel bad or wrong. You should be proud of who and what you are! I wish you luck!!!

Do you want to be gay? Or do you feel some kind of pressure to be? You need to feel comfortable with yourself as a person before you can make a life decision like that. Hope this helps!!

Maybe you wouldn't feel so wrong, if you actually put forth some effort and learned how to spell/compose sentences. It might make you feel really good about yourself, being able to adequately explain your postion and then you wouldn't care what other people thought, because you would no longer sound like such a tool.

there is no reason to feel wrong if ur gay... its normal... well to me it is... i dont know why people think its unnatural to like the same sex. Ive delt with the whole parent thing when you gay, my best friend is gay... and it took him along time ot tell his mom, and i dont think his moms husband is very pleased about it.... dont feel bad about what makes you happy

Because people want you to feel that way because you're gay. You're different, and people cannot accept that. And if you're judt finding out, give it some time. This is something totally new, give yourself some time to adjust.

Perhaps because society in general is against non-hetero relationships. And since we all want to fit it, gays and lesbians don't. I, for one, think it is NONE of my business what people do in the privacy of their own home, and certainly none of my business who those folks love.

you are gay and feel wrong??? maybe you are not gay just confused on your sexual orientation. Find yourself first and realize that the real you is yourself not what sex you prefer, then you will be all right.
