I have an important document and by accident got a big piece (packing type) scotch tape stuck on it. Sombody can give a tip on how to take the scotch tape off the paper without tearing it.

If it is just the contents of the document you need and the tape is transparent, consider just running it through a copier.

If it is some legal document, you might be able to get a Notary Public to make a certified copy.

Turn paper over with tape facing down on an ironing board and run a warm iron over it for a second or 2, tape will loosen up then peel it off,be careful paper may be sticky for awhile so don't put any other paper on it for awhile or they will stick together. good luck.

Put in the freezer for awhile. It should flick right off. Don`t heat it. it will get sticky..

hairdryer won't work, you have to hold it above steam from a kettle.
