The educational system of the Philippines is much more effctive than that of the Koreans - we use the English language here, so that means the most recent discoveries are transmitted immediately to the Phils. They do well in Science, but still the phils. is the first to know new facts due to their knowledge of English.
Furthermore, Koreans are not that fluent in English, so it's gonna be hard to study there - first the culture, the language, and everything. They tend to nasalize English so its kinda hard to understand what they are saying.
Even Koreans go to the Philippines to study English to be in the forefront of knowledge.

Well, I attended public schools in the Philippines until age 13. Then attended schools in the U.S. and graduated with honors (cumlaude, 3.67 GPA) when I got my bachelors degree in English Literature.

The Philippine School system (Caloocan City) was competitive and ingrained the need to excel.

Good luck,

Shalla
