I believe Onstar has turned off the car. The locks don't work but the security light flashes

I'm sure the previous answerer knows far more about the subject that I. My suggestion, essentially, is to review your documentation and ask Onstar. The AAA also might have information or, at least, the AAA mechanic who comes to help might know.

Sure, IF it is the culprit take it to the dealer and have them flash it for the code and give an estimate of the fix. You may then have them make the repair or take it elsewhere with the correct diagnosis in hand.
