My husband and I are looking to adopt a baby so if you know of someone who is wanting an abortion I would gladly raise the baby if they didn't want to.

The sad thing is, you shouldn't NEED to preface your question that way to get a reasonable answer.
And by the way, the cutoff time varies greatly by states. Some cut it off at 12 weeks; others keep it legal until right before birth. That is what "partial birth abortion" is.

the cut off is 24 weeks. Up to 12 weeks they use a suction method. After 12 weeks the cervix becomes tighter so tiny sticks that expand when wet are inserted into the cervix to expand it to the point that it is safe for the mother. Then the day after the sticks are inserted the pregnancy is terminated. After 24 weeks it is not safe for the mother to terminate. This is why cut off if 24 weeks.

I'm assuming that you are young~ Please get on some sort
of birth control so you don't ever have to make that decision.
Abortion is not a form of birth control! : (
Go to your local clinic or gyno, decide with your doctor which
method of birth control is right for you. And, use condoms
because there is nothing sexy about STD's.
You will never need to know when the cut off date is if you
don't have an unplanned pregnancy. Better for everyone.
Sweating over a late period is mega stressful- try to avoid
it.

Then why ask the question? If you're getting an abortion, then own up to it, and be firm in your beliefs that it's your choice.
I always thought the cut off time was 12 weeks, but I may be wrong.

it's ok if you want an abortion
it is a choice that you must make for yourself
why you hate abortion at any stage? Then be sure that you don't choose that for yourself. Don't choose for others, just as you wouldnt want others choosing for you.

In California the cut off is 24 weeks, and you do not need to have any health reasons. Your insurance actually pays for it too. I know someonw that got one at 22 weeks, and Blue Cross paid for the whole thing. She was perfectly healthy, just didn't want a baby.

You can get an abortion at any stage, for any reason. Term ones are called partial-birth abortion.

I believe it is 12-13 weeks. My friend wanted to get one but she was past the cut off.
I am so NOT for abortion.

I can feel the fear in your answer. No matter what your true feelings are, you feel the need to justify your remarks with a pro life anti Christ phrase. And your fear is justified. But remember that Christ / God invented abortion through miscarriage. So when these hate mongers call you names simply tell them you are following what God teaches.
