It's an old term , kinda vaque but basically means 3/4 of full race. That part is the vague part. There are basically three fundamentals a a camshaft. Lift, duration and overlap. Lift is total valve lift at the valve (a product of cam lobe height form centerline at high point times rocker arm ratio) duration (the number of degrees the cam keeps the valve open per revolution in crankshaft degrees) and overlap (the number of degrees both exhaust and intake valve are open at the same time near the top of the exhaust stroke). An example of a full race cam would be :
.600 lift (at the valve), 320 dgrees of duration and 90 degrees of overlap. 3/4 of all those numbers is theoretically a 3/4 cam or a mild to moderate street cam.

It means the cam lobes are ground for 3/4 of what they would be for a full racing motor. The cam is the part of the motor that determines how far open the valves go and how long they stay open. The 440 stands for a 440 cubic inch displacement motor. In Mopar language that would be a MaxWedge. Cubic inch displacement (CID ) refers to all the air displaced by all the combined pistons of any given motor. Parashooter is TOTALLY wrong.

3/4 race cam... not a full race cam. 440 Cubic inches is the size of the motor

3/4 of an inch rise in the cams (lifters for the valves)
