Who would be the worst champion in this year's World Cup that hasn't seen many great games? Italy or France? And why?

Probably Italy as they haven't performed too well. Then again, you don't get this far only because of luck. Anyway. If France performs like they did against brazil then Italy doesn't stand a chance.

A tough one. Both the teams were once in a stage of knocked out before the ROUND OF 16.
Later they managed their way into finals. Infact the luck favoured for both the teams... Italy against Aussies & France against Portugal. In both the matches, Team which lost performed well.
But France has a better oppurtunity after beating all-powered BRAZIL. A slightly higher in confidence.
But this world cup has shown all in reciprocal.
So the worse to win will be Italy.

Typically winning means who is the best to win the World Cup. In that way, the sheer determination of both teams to be unfancied, underrated and undeserved (in eyes of some) to reach the finals is indeed a creditable achievement. Both Italy and France has faced the pre-tournament favorites, Germany and Brazil respectively, and won. So its difficult to choose among the two. However, to choose a fitting fairytale finale to the great Zizou one wants France to win!!

France because they barely made it to the round of 16 then they beat an overrated brazil team that didn't have any competition until france. Italy has outplayed their opponents, except for USA and Aussie which italy had trouble getting used to their aggressive styles, and Italy has only conceded one goal and that was against themselves!

italy bcoz they are not man enough to win during the australian game. i am not a big fan of aussie but they were robbed left and right and i felt sorry for them. furthermore italy football are now connected with gambling scandal. as for the french they start in a humble way and walk their way through.

Italy. Their defeat of Australia was blatant robbery.
France not only made it to the final fair and square, but they worked really hard and were at the verge of elimination in the group stage.
