I am a teenager and have been using clearasil ultra for a while. It seemed to be working for the most part but it has slowed down. I want to know if there are any better cures.

The best thing for your acne is to stop using the clearasil. It is frying your skin. There is a bleaching agent in almost all acne cleansers which is why it seems to be slowing down. It has essentially cooked all of your skin cells. Don't worry, though, especially with you being younger your skin is going to keep replacing itslef. First step, stop the clearasil. Look into www.aloette.com. This is an all natural product with aloe as its base instead of the bleaching agent. The aloe penetrates deep into all 23 layers of skin and clears out the dirt that other cleansers do not. I have mild-severe eczema and I have been using aloette products for about 2 months now. I have seen the best looking skin on women, and men too, who are using this product.

Stuff with salacylic acid works great for me, such as Clearasil. A lot of people like ProActiv. Facial saunas work good too, Hold your head over a steaming pot with a towel draped to hold in the steam. Like 3 or 4 days a week for maybe 5 or 10 minutes.

The stuff with benzoil peroxide or whatever never seems to help very much for me.

Try Pro Activ or go to a dermatologist.

I've found tea tree oil to be very helpful with body acne. Also, anything with sacyclic acid.

see a dermatologist and have him/her prescribe you minocycline. it's a pill you take once daily (as i recall). i used it and it really knocked out my acne. i had TINY flare ups once a month but it definitely made a world of a difference. i kept usoing it till my skin and hormones 'changed' and got out of the acne phase.

be weary of accutane as it has many severe side effects that you might not be aware for a loooooong time. However, if taken diligently and in careful doses, it does miracles.
