Photoshop is an excellent program and it's useful for working with pictures. Then entire Adobe suite might work best for you, but it is expensive.

I wrote a simple program for album covers, based on your existing photos and graphics.

It's basically a design it yourself template.

It's a free demo (although it'd be nice for people to pay me and upgrade).

certain, I particular do. I undergo in ideas starting Elton John's "see you later, Yellow Brick highway" (It turned right into a double album, and the cover opened like a e book), and merely seeing how the artists who did the interior paintings created a flowing tale out of music lyrics that fairly had not some thing to do with one yet another. really, you talked about that this turned right into a slice (or countless) of existence, with different layers; or perchance a non secular journey. the cover paintings for Alan Parsons project's "thoughts of poser and mind's eye" changed into staggering to boot. once you've the paintings artwork alongside the song, it makes the completed journey extra visceral, extra real; some thing you so superbly expressed the following, 8 song. technologies is large, even though it comes with a cost ticket... one such tag being the sluggish diminishing of the cost of inventive human beings and issues. regrettably, we are getting what I time period "roboticized". EDIT: *Nods energetically in contract with FuriousB.*

It's fantastic, but it's terribly expensive.
Though I'll recommend Macromedia Fireworks: it's more user friendly, but Fireworks is more suitable to design graphics for the web.
