An abortion can be performed all the way up to 24 weeks gestation. Isn't that sick!!! I had a sonogram at 18 weeks and saw my little girl sucking her thumb and moving around.

I'm confused. Are u 15 weeks or 5 weeks? Are you pro-life and just wondering about the procedure and how anyone could ever go through with it or are you considering it for your self? As far as I understand it, a partial birth abortion is a specific type of procedure that was made illegal in 2003. It is usually down after the first trimest (so after 15 weeks), but I am not sure if all abortions after this amount of time have to be done by this method, which would make late term abortions illegal. In any case, I'm not really sure what you're asking so i don't really know how to respond to your question. And I'm not really an expert on the matter. You should call planned parenthood or your local women's clinic if you want a good answer.
Hope all goes well with you!

I am not sure I understand, but I think you are asking ... how late in pregnancy an abortion can be done because with you being just 15 weeks, you can't imagine it being done even that late?....Is that it??

Anyways, depends on the state. Some places have late term partial birth abortions that can be done as late as 37-38 weeks. I know they can be done well after the date at which a child is able to survive outside the womb. You can do searches online for partial birth abortions and it will probably tell you. If you search images, it will even show the different methods.

It is sad and sickening really. It is done by delivering the baby up to the head and then using something to push into the base of the skull before the head is delivered. By not delivering the head, the child is considered to never be born, thus it is not considered murder.

Good luck with your pregnancy!

The cut off in California is 3 months. After 8-weeks the office will usually charge more since the fetus is larger. It is illegal to perform an abortion after the 1st trimester in more than half of the states in the US.

If you pro-life then you definitely spewing propaganda to others. Not answering to pass judgment in other questions? Then why you judging and lecturing? Last time I read some of the same questions, the author didn't ask for a lecture....maybe you should read these things more carefully.
If you are against abortion, GREAT, DONT CHOOSE TO HAVE ONE! But DON'T TAKE MY CHOICE OR MAKE IT FOR ME. Do what is best for you and Ill decide what is best for me.

Back to your ill-phrased question: what are you trying to ask? It is still unclear but probably makes perfect sense to you.

I believe it's after 12 weeks or three months. But it might differ by state. Contact Planned Parenthood in your state to find out for sure. But also remember there are many many good people who would love to adopt your child.

Depends on the state, they're all different. Some have banned all abortions except for danger of mother, etc...
