Have any married women here ever had an affair? How did it start, why did you do it, how did he find out and what was the end result?

For me I felt like a slave to my family for so long. I completely lost myself and my own needs. When the kids reached school age, not only did I have more time on my hands, but I was also feeling desperate for attention and to feel desired and attractive. It started as a little flirtation for a couple months and once I let my mind actually go there it was easy for my body to follow. After we had sex he dumped me entirely! So now I'm living with the guilt of what I've done to my husband as well as the pain of being used when I thought it was something more. If you're thinking about doing it - DON'T! It's SO not worth it. There's no good ending. Here are the possible endings - 1. You're husband finds out and the family breaks up 2. You fall in love and are miserable in your marriage but don't want to break up the family. 3. You get pregnant or an STD 4. He dumps you because all he wanted was sex in the first place!

I am not married but I had an affair with a married man. We started out as friends and we were there when each other needed someone to talk to. One thing lead to another. I did it and so did he because we needed each other. It was just talking at first and thing just happened. We never planned it. We the end result is we have realized we love each other and are soul mates but do to circumstance we can not be completely with each other right now but we agree we will be together sometime. I have no regrets. He is the love of my life.

Yes, I had an affair. Was it my fault? No I don't think so!!! If anyone has an affair someone at home is not taking care of business. I know for a fact....Yes, it all started when I got a new job...While trying to get in the union of this job my hubby was very mean an abusive to me. I almost did not make it into the union. Well anyways my hubby beat me one day really bad I did not want to go to work with bruises on my face. So I called the plant manager and explained to him what happened. They excused it but extended my time to get into the union. Well, I went to work the next day with bruises on my face and I vowed to myself that I would find me a new husband and father for my two sons. As time went by I fell in love with the most caring man I had ever been with. He cared about my feelings. He made sure I never got my feeling hurt. He was so understanding. Our affair went on for 5yrs....My husband never knew because he was too busy drinking...He never hugged me, kiss me, and when we had sex it was just to please him. He did not care if I had an orgasm or not. It was all about him. Unfortunately, one Christmas my hubby found a Christmas present which was meant for my Steven. My Steven and I were going through some things because he was tired of waiting. He wanted me to leave my husband. I loved Steven so much but I could not leave my husband. After my husband found the gift I had to tell him. I told him I wanted a divorce and he just broke down crying begging me not to leave him.......When I saw this I was like this can't be.....After 5yrs of not caring and now when I am ready to leave he showed me a side I had never seen before... I still loved my husband. We had children together that is the only reason why I stayed. He changed for about 3yrs then the drinking started right back up. But the beating ended forever!!! It was a great 3yrs. It was so very hard for me to leave Steven alone. I loved him so so so much, but my kids took my love away from him. I still think about him and that was twelve years ago.....
