First you should check the batteries, then you should check to make sure it is synched. That means you push a button on the computer adapter and one on the bottom of the mouse at the same time so it synches ....

Well with my targus, there was no software to load. You may be having radio interruptions which all you have to do if your mouse is multiple frequency capable is change the frequency. On mine it is simple as flipping the mouse over and pushing a button. YOur mouse also may not be charged. consider unplugging the transmitter and turning off the mouse (with mine store the transmitter in the mouse as the shut off) and then plug into the charger and dont use for atleast 2 days. Give it rest and a chance to power up.

I would check the device manager(Right click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager) and make sure that there isn't any devices with yellow triangle or red x by them. Those indicate problems or disabled hardware. Click on any problem hardware and click on properties to see what is wrong.

Also try the mouse in another computer to make sure the mouse is working correctly. You may need to synconize the mouse with the reciever.

You shouldn't need any drivers (windows should have built in drivers) but you may want to try going to the manufacturer's website and get new drivers.
