I am trying to customize a PC online and it says there is a compatibility issue when I try to add a TV Tuner and Windows Pro. It says I need Windows Media edition. Why is this? Can I have Pro and still get a tuner? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

U need to install proper software to capture TV shows.
It should work on any windows machine.

Don't know about the other 2 you mentioned, but, I checked into it one time and found I can get a tuner for my windows xp. I didn't though, I just bought a small 20 " moniter with tv tuner and computer moniter all in one. I't was the cheapest way to go since I didn't have to open up my computer and install parts ect;
( or pay someone to) anyway,I have it hooked up to a direct tv DVR over on the top shelf of my desk, and I can record any movie I want,while watching another channel or surfing the net , all with the same monitor. Cool, Huh?
