The man still has money right? I am sure he has some offshore somewhere. Certainly enough to bribe the coroner, get a wino's corpse to creamate and live in Brazil for the rest of his life.

No, You are NOT the only one. He has so much money that it could be possible....He rather try the charade instead of dying in jail don't you think?

Ever the conspiracy nut.

There would've needed to be a lot of people paid off. The cops for one, since they were called out. People at the hospital for another.

Mr Lay may have money socked away somewhere, but it's highly unlikely that he could find enough people that weren't adversely affected by Enron's collapse and pay them enough to keep quiet.. *and* have enough to live on. We're not just talking shareholders; former employees would've liked to have a fist-to-head chat with Mr Lay.. as well as the millions of people whose energy rates spiked with Enron's manipulation of the energy trading markets...

I doubt it there are better ways to dissapear. If he was on a luxury cruise all he would need is one person his wife to insist that he jumped over board in a suicide.Get the plastic surgery and live in luxury in the caribean the rest of his life. With his finances I would have done it rather than spend the rest of my life in prison. I dont think he faked it. There would be so many better ways to do it.
