NO!!!! DO NOT DELEAT THEM!!!!!

First deleat any useless games or other programs you may have. The reason I say that is because I have seen it so many times, people cluttering their machines with games / screen savers and other useless "stuff" that load SPYWARE in the backgroung that slows their machine to a crall, sometines even making it useless. Thats when they call me to repair it.
There are a lot of good answers posted above but I think . phy333 has the best advice so far.

You also need to install and run the following to clear out any Malware you may already have. This Malware may have come just from surfing the net, not just downloaded "stuff".

The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)
The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (www.spybot.info)
AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (www.spywareblaster.com)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.

These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.

The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

You need to keep them all. They are patches to the original and are needed. Usually when one is not needed it will be replaced by another newer one.

They don't take up much space. That is not what is making your pc slow. You need to clean out your temporary files.

Go to "tools", "internet options" "delete files", then "clear history" and "delete cookies."

Hope that helps.

you should not delete them. If your laptop is slow you need more RAM, or you have viruses or spyware. You probably have too many programs running in the background.

removing updates may cause some important registry files that other applications are using (shared registry files). It can lead to a corrupt file, and can cause malfuntion of the applications.

You can deleted updates but it might put your computer at risk. If you want a faster computer, I would recommend upgrading its memory.

The updates usually overlap themselves. It's highly suggested that you don't get rid of any Windows updates.
