That's a tough one---I guess you didn't get any reaction at all?? Maybe you just shocked them and they need a little time for it to sink in---it must of took a lot on your part to come forward and tell them---maybe give them a couple of weeks and bring it up again and see what their reaction is ---I'm sure like most parents--they're probably not sure what to think-but I'm sure like most parents --they will love you no matter what your sexual preference is---All I ever want for my children is to be happy and be loved--if after a while they don't seem to be responding--maybe talk to someone you're close to in your family--like an aunt or uncle or maybe a family priest (if you go to church) Anyways--if your parents won't talk about it--find someone who will---good luck--

iLOVEYOOH! go screw yourself, seriously. There are far too many issues homosexual teens have to face and your immaturity is not necessary.
I'd recommend just sitting down with your parents and telling them the truth. I don't think they don't believe me, I think they're more in denial. If it's something they choose to not accept, then just let them. It's not like having your parents believe you will change anything. They'll understand when you bring home a nice guy.

They are probably thinking that you are just young and don't know yet what you want or are confused about how you feel.
Don't fight them on it, if they are going to come around to accept this, just give them time and hopefully they will come to accept the fact that you are gay and that is who you are and that it is not the end of the world.
Best wishes to you, it may take a while for them to come around.

You need tobe patient with them. You have had time to think about things, let them have some time. This is a big thing for them too.
Maybe you cold find a pflag group in your area. It might help them to realize that you are not alone.
good luck.

At least they didn't freak. That means that they probably
accept you unconditionally. Eventually they will catch on.
You have told them honestly how you feel. Good for you.
It's not something you need to prove overnight.
Good luck.

well, if the heart to heart with them doesnt work, I am speachless. I told my mom I was bi, and she was so non chalant about it, I thought she didnt believe me. Maybe give them time. But you never jeopardize being yourself.
