Seriously use a Mr Clean magic eraser. No fumes to deal with and it works wonders. I got permanent marker off my wood trim on my doorways with it. It is one of the best cleaning tools to use. And it is only just under three dollars at Walmart for a box of two sponges. Try it you will be amazed.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work wonders . . . but be careful. As the directions read, do not use on dark colored paint. You can rub the color right off your wall trying to get the crayon off (and we all know that dark paint requires major touch-up). Also, be careful how much water you put on the "sponge".

if you need it done fast and its not too big an area...rough terri cloth will work
