Because the people who dress like that are morons....I mean they don't read the news paper or Watch TV they mostly just listen to rap music and hang out with more wanna be thugs who think the trend is still going on....And until they get jobs they won't realize that the world is changing because they are staying in thier little "thug" world

Yes, I agree. It's overdone, it's boring, and they look like every other 16-20something walking around. I guess it's easier to look like a mess than to try to actually have some class and style. Wake up, people. The trend is over, and was over about 5 years ago.
And, Madam, this is not about "hatin on black folk". This is a terrible look. Why would someone want to look like they got their entire wardrobe from their big brother, or from a thrift store? Clothing that is four sizes too big bespeaks of laziness in the aspect of "everybody else is wearing it". Give me the trendsetters. They NEVER go out of style.

Well everone has there own sense of style and to be honest the "thug" look as you wanna call it is definatly not played out with the hip hop industry being close to on top of the music world if your speaking of baggy clothes you should realize that sometimes that it is comfortable to wear loose clothes velour suits sweatsuits etc... just remember everone has their own taste in fashion..

I don't care much about fashion, but thuggish clothes just make me think "trashy." Especially when combined with the thuggish walk and thuggish speech. There's nothing imposing or impressive about it. It just makes a person look stupid.

Eventually it does come back in style, so maybe these people just don't want to bother with the cycle of fashion.
Like the disco clothes that are coming back, you know there are a group of people out there who have been waiting 30 plus years for this day to come!!!

I laugh everytime a read a question when people are obviously hatin on Black folk. ( after all most people who wear the "thug" look are Black or like the culture enough to want to emulate it). Ask a real question like " how to end world hunger" or " how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootise roll pop"?
Good day!

Darling it baffles me, true thugs don't even pursue that 'thug look' any longer. Goodness its actually getting rather expensive to dress like a department store thug.

Same reason people still wear the "bohemian' or hippie styles, frosted jeans and the mullets, and the grunge look..
People get comfortable with what they think makes them look good and it is hard to accept a total change..

It could be because not everyone considered it a trend like you do. That really is just the way some people dress.
