ok i own a 3 acre piece of land in TN and the people of a rather large corperation (not gonna mention any names) are saying that if i dont settle for the 15grand that they are offering me to move then they will force me to move and give me no money, can they do that?? help, i am waiting to see what they are doing to hire a lawer

You definitely need a Lawyer. You have rights, but you need someone who knows how to defend them for you.

1) If you are behind on your property taxes, get them current immediately.

2) A company cannot seize your property on it's own, but they can buy it at a sheriff's sale for back taxes.

3) The other way a company can get control of your property is with the cooperation of your local government. ( see the link below for information about Kelo vs. New London.) They can't take it and pay you nothing however, they have to pay you a fair price. I'm guessing that you live in a rural area, and the company that wants your land is a mining company. Depending on where you live of course $5,000 an acre may or may not be a fair price.

4) Many states have reacted to the Kelo decision by passing new restrictions on the taking of property through eminent domain. I don't know the current status of Tennessee, so you should also contact your State Representative, and ask.
