Carole King, Karen Carpenter, some Patsy Cline, some (but not all) Linda Ronstadt, or some male voices, like John Denver, or John Lennon. I have a low voice too and my husband and I do karaoke every Friday night and I do a lot of these guys. However, sometimes I go into falsetto and do some Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons. Hope this helps. Have fun!!

Depends on what kind of music you're looking for. One song I do quite a bit (I'm also an alto) is "Come To My Window" by Melissa Etheridge.

"Hit Me With Your Best Shot" is also a good one, and it's upbeat.

You'd probably do best to find some good rock 'n roll stuff, both oldies and modern. Avril Lavigne is a good one for that style, and perhaps Sheryl Crow (Soak Up the Sun is a good one by her). Alanis Morrisette might be up your alley too.

And don't be afraid to work on stretching your vocal range. You might surprise yourself. ;)

Just flip on the radio, go through about one channel every hour or two, and see what's playing. You should be able to find something soon enough.

Karen Carpenter had a lovely alto voice, so most of her songs are great.

Carole King songs, although she had a really high chest voice range, so sometimes they can get kind of hard to sing without switching to falsetto.
