More than likely a classic kidney infection...which will not go away on its own. You must get to a doctor immediately. If not treated, you could permanently damage your kidneys and possibly even go into kidney (renal) failure. Not to mention the misery of a kidney infection is something you want alleviated as soon as possible. Try drinking cranberry juice and lots of clear fluids (water, 7-Up, apple juice....not tea though). There is an enzyme in cranberry juice that really helps keep your kidneys perking along and also helps if you have a problem with UTI's.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

It could be an infection or it could be the beginning stages of several diseases; diabetes or renal failure

If you have had any recent trauma from being in the side you could have bruised kidneys.

You should see your physician they could run any number of tests to determine the cause of your pain.

Good Luck and get well soon
