Yep, my brother did for 3 days back in the late 70's, while he was at University. The episode is still legendary. No lasting harm came to anyone. He is now deceased, not connected to the episode.

When I read the Diceman, I was amazed and thrilled, except for the murder.
I thought about living my life that way because then it seemed like anything could happen and life would be a great adventure. I never got beyond thinking about it.
Thanks for your question - I never thought I would see the Diceman here and it just goes to show, endless possibilities are there for us.

Ha ha a bunch of friends of mine played a much diluted version of this at a party. They had one list of personality types and one list of actions, you rolled the dice to get your selection and had to play them out for the course of the party. Thing is only the people playing the game knew this. Really freaked some people out?
Given how dark the Diceman gets though, i hope nobody ever trys to seriously copycat it.

I have not and I doubt whether anybody has. Lots of problems:-
1. They would quickly get in trouble with the law
2.Not least, they would lose all their friends. People like to be treated with respect, not by chance behaviour. Also, the Diceman would be unpredictable and inconsistent, both of which people dislike.
3. They would harm their well-being, not least financially. Not least, for the same reason as he would lose his friends the Diceman would lose his job.

This is about as silly as beieving your horoscope and acting on it. Real people live their lives, they don't feed on fantasy
