that much attention to me only when there's no one around and when other girls or guys are around he acts like i'm not there.whats the problem with this guy i like.

Sounds like he likes you to me. The reason he "acts" like you are not there when other people are around is for both of your lives to be a little easier.
He doesn't want either one of you to get teased by the other people that you both hang put with. If you keep hanging in there, it will get better in the long run.That is once he matures a little bit and quits worrying about what other people think. Good Luck!!
