Ever heard the old sayings, "Its not how you play the game, as long as you win", and "When fighting fair fails, fight dirty"? Basically, they know it can be effective, and can frustrate us guys who prefer to rely on objective reason. My wife figured out I was on to this after our first four months of marriage, and does not try it much anymore.
