No, you cannot "re-grow" veins. But the veins you have damaged through the use of opiates and cocain with a needle, will be compensated by other smaller vessles in your hands and arms. This takes time of course. If you stay away from the NEEDLE your veins will gradually repair or compensate. After some time...by which I mean 3-5 years...you will discover veins in your arms that you never thought you even had. Once they expand an compensate for the loss of blood-flow though the veins you damaged via the needle, the swelling of your hands will be a thing of the past. Trust me on this...because I use to be a junky myself nearly ten (10) years ago...and my hands and arms have healed very well. The human body is an amazing thing...and it knows where and how to compensate for this type of damage. Good luck to you...and...stay away from the needle.

Veins do not regenerate. Unfortunately as we get older we figure these things out later and realize what we had done to ourselves. It will no doubt be a hard road when you start to get older, just remember to take good care of yourself and exercise and eat right. The sooner the better. Congrats on being an ex not a current user!

Sadly the answer is no,but consult your doctor about the swelling as you may be retaining fluid or you may have cellulitis, witch is very painful.

The only "regrowth" I know of is the collateral circulation that can occur with older patients with heart disease. Other veins that are damaged stay damaged.Good luck and stay an ex-junky.

no you cannot regrow veins, the swelling is probably from fluid retention, you might see your doctor about being put on a diuretic

Veins do not "regrow". Once they are gone, they are gone.
