Happiness is a choice we make. There will always be good and bad in our lives, but how we deal with it is a judge of our character. If you want to be happy, simply choose to be.

Happiness is a state of mind. And like most things is relative. You may be temporarily happy because you achieved a certain goal, but once you possess the object you desire, its value reduces in your mind. As human beings we tend to solve that problem by looking for more things to pursue! But I guess, that means its the pursuit that keeps us happy and challenged! IE if achievement= happy of course. But even for those for whom happiness means just being able to chill out over a beer, I'm pretty sure that its the prospect of getting that beer that makes them look forward to it and be "happy". So what should you do to make yourself happy, set yourself doable goals, that makes life seem worthwhile. After all, we walk but once on this earth. Let our journey have meant something. Another thing about human nature, doing something good/altruistic is essential for the human soul. It fills out an emptiness that doesn't go away with all the things and glory we do acquire.

dont base what is going to make you happy on what you see other people having, or doing. Happiness cannot be found in any physical thing. All things are transient and even when you have what you think you want, then you have to worry about losing it, or it going away eventually. Find your true nature, the face you had before you were born and ask it what truly makes it feel connected and loved.

To me happiness is wealth, health and a robust sex life with my one and only. A legacy worth passing down for 20 generations. By legacy I mean vasts amount of property and gold.

That's never possible, because humans are greedy and if they are unable to get what they want, they would never be happy.
