If you like Sushi...try this out and spend pennies on the dollar.
It is second time around sushi.
A chain of sushi shops that feature old sushi that nobody touched, just second hand food.
They are specializing in Chinese food too!
You know...when you don't take food home and leave it...well they re-serve it.
Now you can have:
Not to young foo egg.
Old fried rice
Bite missing BBQ Pork
Already soy sauced rice...no need to sauce it again because the other people already did!
And the daily...
Special for $1.95 comes with a broken fortune cookie with used fortunes.
Complete the meal with left over green tea!
And you are eating the Bomb!

The dollar menu lies! You still have to pay tax, so with $2 you can still only afford one thing off the dollar menu. At McDonald's, your best bet would be two baked apple pies.
But, you could go to a grocery store and probably buy around a dozen bags of ramen noodles...maybe as many as 18...for $2. They could keep you fed for a few days, and all you need is a pot, water and a stove.

The grocery store. You can buy 12-20 packs of Ramen noodles for $2. If you can luxuriate and spring for a bottle of vegetable oil to go with them, you'll be eating in style.

only place i know , when things are that tough, is Mcee Deee's, 2 double cheese burgers and an ice water, sometimes i forget to get cash, for the day. Im a estimater and on the road alot, if i use my debit or credit, i end up spending morea week than i want, so i use cash to eat, mostly breakfast and lunch, anyways, 2 double cheese no pickle please and an ice water.

My favorite is definately taco bell. A crunchy taco and an order of pintos and cheese (super filling) is less than $2 with tax!
