I own an Xbox 360, and with that I have an HD TV that can play the games in either 1080i or 720p...I don't know which to choose because I am unaware of which is better.

I understand that 1080i has more pixels, but I have heard that 720p is better for watching sports...Does this mean that 720p is better for first-person shooter games such as Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero?

I would appreciate a good answer with details that will answer my question...and you will be rewarded with "Best Answer".

Televisions that support both will generally look better at 720p. It also depends on what sort of device is sending the original signal. In most cases 720p is the better option.
