I'll start by saying this, we were a military couple. We had been married 13 years and she was deployed, before she got back I was deployed and forced to dump my kids then 13 and 10 at their grandpas house for 3 months. We then split up upon my return, built an incredible friendship in the process of seperation, got back together after about a year apart (not counting deployed time of 2 years) were happy or so I thought, then she volunteers to deploy, lies about it, makes me look like an **** because I was pissed, sort of like if your spouse were cheating and everyone knew except you but no one told. She's gone for 9 months advancing her career, I'm home playing supermom/dad. Now she comes back, dumps me with no good reason and feels she needs to provide none, and is pissed off because I moved out and am enjoying some serious soul searching time. Looking out for #1, worrying about myself exclusively. I take the kids, but for the most part I feel I'm owed time by myself. Am I wrong?

I think that the kids are #1 and as long as you are putting them first, you are definitely #2 right behind them. Your wife not only lied to you but she also disrupted your children's lives by not being truthful to you. I think you deserve kudos and time to determine what will make you happy. Just make sure that your kids are as happy as possible during this process. Good luck!!

Hi Jester:
Well, your situation isn't clear.....you communicate well, but there is something missing here.

I must add though, yes, you deserve some time to think and for as long as you need infact. Go for it and take good, excellent care of yourself. You are you and only you are going to care for yourself. Be rested and ready to hear what needs to be said...on both your parts.

luv Ava
