well some guys like to smell their sperm, fart, and other smelly body parts. some even eat their sperm, urine, booger, etc. some guys do these when they were young while discoving their growing bodies during puberty but some retain these habits all throughout adulthood. your husband obviously belong to this latter group. smelling his sperm is his fethist. i don't think there's anything wrong with this since he likes it. everything can be reduced to matter of taste. cheers!

well he probably smells the fishy smell after hours of sex and wants to make sure its not him, or that makes him horny in a kinky way.
